MY Foundation is committed to ensuring equitable healthcare access for underserved populations through a blend of fixed-site services and mobile interventions, supported by innovative, community-driven approaches
To build a healthier and more resilient society, it is vital to prioritize the physical, mental, and social well-being of students from an early age. The School Health Programme is a proactive initiative that provides essential health services, promotes preventive care, and raises awareness among students, teachers, and parents.
Regular health screenings are conducted to detect viral infections such as hepatitis, influenza, measles, and other communicable diseases. Early diagnosis helps in timely treatment and limits the risk of disease outbreaks in school communities.
The programme includes psychological assessments, counseling sessions, and stress-relief workshops to address growing concerns around anxiety, depression, and peer pressure. School counselors and psychologists provide timely interventions and ongoing support.
Hearing or throat problems can interfere with learning. Periodic ENT screenings are carried out to detect infections, hearing loss, or speech-related issues, followed by referral for specialized care when necessary.
Vision screening is essential for academic performance. The programme includes eye check-ups to identify refractive errors, infections, and other conditions, with follow-up actions such as prescription glasses or medical treatment.
Hygiene workshops, hygiene kits, and demonstration sessions educate students on handwashing, dental care, body cleanliness, and menstrual hygiene. These initiatives aim to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and promote dignity and self-care.
BMI checks and dietary surveys are used to detect malnutrition, obesity, and iron or vitamin deficiencies. Nutritionists offer individualized and group-based diet plans and organize healthy eating campaigns within schools.
